Abstract

Case report. A 7-year-old girl presented since birth port-wine stain of the right intercostal region. She started laser treatment with 585 nanometers dye laser (Cynosure) and underwent 3 sessions within 6 months. One month after the third session vitiligo lesions appeared at the periphery of the teated area. From the age of 5 the girl was affected by diffuse vitiligo with involvement of the eyelids. She also had 2 halo nevi on her back, appeared simultaneously to vitiligo. Koebner phenomenon secondary to dye laser treatment was hypothesized. The parents of the little girl were informed about the possible persistence of the lesions with time. In spite of our advice, her parents decided to continue the laser treatment, because satisfied of the significant clearing up of the angiomatous lesions.
