Abstract

The Authors investigated midline telangiectatic nevus (salmon patch) of the nape of the neck in order to evaluate its frequency and persistence. They carried out two epidemiological studies on two non related samples as follows: 1,191 subjects, whose age ranged between 2 and 3 months, and 1,340 subjects, whose age ranged between 7 and 11 years. The Authors discuss the distribution according to the age and sex of midline telangiectatic nevus (salmon patch) of the nape of the neck, both isolated and associated to similar lesions of the face.
