Abstract

Lichen striatus (LS) is an acquired, asymptomatic dermatitis, usually distributed monolaterally on a skin segment, which heals spontaneously in months; the most affected age group is that of the kindergarten. Despite its banality LS always comes to the doctor due to the unusual distribution of the lesions. This report is a retrospective analysis of the clinical data of 160 cases of LS in children aged less than 13 years, 67 males and 93 females. Its epidemiological, clinical and pathogenetic data are discussed.
