To submit a manuscript, please send it to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Structure of the manuscript. Page 1 (Title page) should include the title, Authors’ full name, underlining the surname, institutional affiliations and locations, name, mailing address, telephone and e mail of the designated correspondent Author. Moreover it should include the name of 2 suggested reviewers. All the columns except for Differential Diagnosis, Letters and Short Cases must include a brief summary of about ten lines and key words. The abstract should provide the background for the study and should state the study’s purposes, basic procedures, main findings and principal conclusions. It should finally emphasize new and important aspects of the study. The text is usually divided according to the IMRAD (Introduction, Methods, Results and Discussion) structure. References must only include the Authors mentioned in the texts. Only the most significant reports, not more than 30, must be listed. References should be numbered consecutively in alphabetic order and identified in the text by the corresponding Arabic numerals in parentheses. Examples:
- Bonifazi E., Meneghini C.L. 1980. Perinatal gangrene of the buttock: an iatrogenic or spontaneous condition? J. Am. Acad. Dermatol. 3 (6): 596-8.
- Gifford G.E. 1979. Interferon and the immune system. In: Waldmann R.H. (ed.), Clinical concepts of immunology, The Williams & Wilkins Co., Baltimore, pp. 218-26.
List all Authors when there are four or fewer. When there are five or more Authors, list the first three authors followed by “et Al.”. Papers must be written in English. The Editorial Board will provide the translation into Italian in order to publish them in the Italian and English edition of the European Journal of Pediatric Dermatology.
Correspondence. The Text, Tables and Images must be submitted in electronic format to the email of the Journal (email@example.com). Color Images need to be in .jpg format, with at least 300 DPI resolution.
Procedure for review. After the manuscript is submitted via e-mail, the corresponding Author is informed about the initial receipt, usually by e-mail on the same day of its arrival. The Editors review the manuscript and send it to at least 2 internationally renowned reviewers, possibly chosen among those suggested by the Authors. The corresponding Author receives the suggestions and comments of the reviewers and should conform to the latter, making the relevant changes to the original manuscript and sending the amended version by e-mail. Proofs are then read by the Editors, who reserve the right to take the final decision and to make minor modifications to the text.
When accepted, papers, photographs and other illustrations are published free of charge. The first Author of the report can register and access free of charge the European Journal of Pediatric Dermatology for a year.
The reproduction, even partial, of papers or photographs and other illustrations is not allowed without specific and written permission from the Editor-in-chief.
