| Summary |
Dermoscopy has been so far not much used in pediatric dermatology due to the rarity of prepubertal melanoma. However, dermoscopy can be useful in the differential diagnosis of pigmented lesions, which are frequent in children. Moreover, physicians know that dermoscopy is so diffuse and well-known even to the layman, that several people ask definitely for it, as an additional or exclusive service also in the pediatric age. |
